The Sven Connection - Commodity Competition

 

Dear Readers,

It is hard to focus on stocks and investing when so much is going on in the world today. 

We have been waiting for this to come and now I see more and more evidence of a real bull market for precious metals and commodities. Price is one thing. For example, look at the Gold price compared to various currencies.

The real evidence is to be found in Geopolitics. This has been in plain sight but overshadowed by the Tech bull era. There should be no doubt that commodities are important to Tech. Commodities are important for the development of this world, so that we can create a better place for us to live in. 

Now it seems geopolitics is taking the front seat in this race. We know that China is searching to secure their needs for commodities and we have in the last year witnessed the rise of commodities importance in the US as well. President Trump is making claims for very large resources in Ukraine. At home, it might be easier to extract minerals and to mine going forward. 

This competition for resources is most evident now between China and the USA. China has already secured large supply chains for their own production and now the USA is trying to do the same.
